Authors & Publishers

Authors and publishers, I’m happy to review any young adult novels that my middle school students would enjoy.  Please read my review policy before sending a request.

E-BOOKS: I do have a Kindle and will accept some requests for ebook reviews.  Because all of the books I read are put in my classroom, your ebook must be available in print for me to consider accepting your request.

READING PREFERENCES: Understand that this blog is a Young Adult book blog. My preferred genres are YA, Contemporary Romance, Paranormal, Fantasy, and Dystopian but I will consider requests for other genres.  I am more than happy to read ARC's, finished copies, and ebooks (though I prefer print copies). If you want me to read/review/promote your book(s), or you need to get in contact with me for any other reason, your best bet is to email me at the email listed below.

I will accept ARCs, Uncorrected Proofs, Galleys, or final books (hardcover or paperbacks).  Any book I receive will not be sold.  It will be added to my classroom library for my students and other teachers to read and enjoy.

TIME FRAME: I will try my best to have a review ready to post in a timely manner, but I am a teacher first.  This means that my students, lesson plans, grading, etc. always come first.  If you have a specific date request, I’d appreciate a two-three month lead time. I try to post ARC reviews within a month of its release (as close to the release as I can).

I can’t guarantee a book will be reviewed because if I do not like a book, I won’t always take the time to finish it for the above reasons.  If I can, I will attempt to send it on to another blogger who will enjoy it.

REVIEWS: My reviews consist of my thoughts and feelings about the book. I do not do critical analysis of books, I do enough of those at school. So if  If those are not the types of reviews you are looking for/prefer to have from a book blogger, this is probably not the place for you. I'm sure there are some bloggers out there that do like to do those kinds of reviews so I advise you to seek them out.

My reviews are also honest. I review almost every novel that I read, so please be aware that those sometimes include negative reviews. I don’t take pleasure in negating someone’s work, but as stated above my reviews will be my honest opinion. My reviews include cover art, a synopsis of the novel, my personal thoughts about the book, a numbered rating and publication details. I also try to post my reviews on GoodReads.
